Frederick Hecht is listed on the Original Wall Unit at
Hackensack High School, on the plaque hanging at City hall in Hackensack, and also on the 1946 Hackensack High School yearbook Dedication page. This information has no date of death or where he was serving, but does record he lived in Hackensack and received a
Purple Heart and one of the highest awards in the military the
Silver Star for heroism.

Let us never forget the soldiers sacrifice.
